been named to Corporate Responsibility (CR) Magazine's
coveted "100 Best Corporate Citizens" list for 2019. Evaluated
against the companies of the Russell 1000 Index, Caesars ranked No.
72 and was selected based on its standout environmental, social and
governance (ESG) performance among public companies in the United States.
Caesars' industry leadership was particularly commended in the
environmental categories of the "100 Best Corporate Citizens"
evaluation. It ranked No. 15 on Environment and No. 4 on Climate
Change—two pillars that make up more than one-third of the
evaluation criteria. These distinctions exemplify Caesars'
continued commitment to environmental sustainability progress,
including its bold science-based targets to drastically reduce
greenhouse gas emissions from the company and throughout its supply
chain. Caesars' goal is to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions
30% by 2025 and 95% by 2050 from a 2011 baseline, and it set a
Scope 3 target to have 60% of suppliers commit to their own
science-based targets by 2023.
