The session will also cover the increased risk of fraud as the need for cleared payments in real-time increases. As real-time approaches Canada, ensuring the success of the country’s new real-time rails is essential - the session will also cover key environmental changes that banks need to make to ensure they are successful.

David Grindal, director of solution consulting, and Bridget Hall, solution leader, Real-Time Payments, will participate in a session titled, “How New Real-Time Rails Will Drive Innovation and New Revenues – First-Hand Insights from Global Experts,” in the Breakout room 206CD from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 16.

In this session, leading Canadian banks and industry experts will discuss how to create and monetize new customer propositions, rapidly launch new products and gain market share on the new real-time payments rails. The session will highlight the opportunity for Canada’s payments players to capitalize on the new real-time rails from day one by leveraging the rich data standards brought on by real-time schemes developed and launched around the world.
