Item 8.01	Other Events.

On April 10, 2019, Vital Therapies, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it had filed its quarterly report on Form 10-Q for the three months ended March 31, 2019. In its press release, the Company also indicated the report was filed earlier than usual to facilitate the closing of the Company’s transaction with Immunic AG, which is expected to be consummated by mid-April. The full text of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
