ATLANTA, Nov. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Air Lines
(NYSE: DAL) today reported operating performance for October 2018. The company carried 16.5 million
customers across its broad global network, a record for the month
of October.
Monthly highlights include:
- Celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the Delta-Northwest
merger, providing Delta with the scope and scale to create a
durable business capable of investing in its people, products, and
service
- Taking the first U.S. delivery of the efficient A220-100, the
latest investment in Delta's fleet modernization program with
inaugural flights on top domestic business routes set to begin in
January
- Announcing new international routes including Boston-Edinburgh and Boston-Lisbon
to begin in Summer 2019 and proposed Minneapolis/St. Paul-Shanghai service to begin in 2020 pending
governmental approvals
- Inducting the first engine into the new state-of-the-art engine
repair shop, where maintenance will be performed on the most
sophisticated and advanced engines
