Event Celebrates Achievements of Female Leaders, Rising Stars in Finance

JPMorgan Chase announced its sponsorship of the 25th Annual Women’s Bond Club Merit Award Dinner, an event honoring the remarkable achievements of women in the financial services industry.

The event, hosted tonight at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, will bring together over 800 attendees representing over 50 financial institutions, from large global banks to smaller investment boutiques.

“Women have such an important role to play in the future of finance,” said Thasunda Brown Duckett, CEO of Chase Consumer Banking. “The Women’s Bond Club continues to empower women to lead while creating powerful common bonds among those who share a passion for the industry.”

“The Women’s Bond Club is committed to advancing women and shaping the future of the financial services industry,” said Cindy Deville, Women’s Bond Club Board Member, and a Chase Consumer Banking Executive. “We share this mission and are honored to support this strong network of women.”

The event will honor two exceptional leaders in the financial industry with the Women’s Bond Club’s most prestigious awards, the 2018 Merit Award and the Betty Cook Award.

Anne Ackerley, Head of US & Canada Defined Contribution at BlackRock, will receive the 2018 Merit Award for her outstanding achievements in financial services, including her work as co-founder of BlackRock’s Women’s Initiative Network.

Eve Ellis, Financial Advisor, Portfolio Manager, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management will receive the Betty Cook Award for her dedication to the advancement of women in the industry, including co-managing The Parity Portfolio Strategy, a gender lens portfolio.

Eve is accepting the Betty Cook Award in support of Girls Who Invest, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the number of women in portfolio management and executive leader roles in the asset management industry. Girls Who Invest will receive a substantial donation from the Women’s Bond Club in honor of Eve.

The event will also recognize over 50 Rising Stars, emerging female leaders across the Club’s member firms who have demonstrated leadership qualities and have already had an impact on their colleagues, clients and industry peers.
