Card Controls Feature Allows Customers to Control How, When & Where Debit Card is Used

Adding to its collection of digital upgrades and security features, HomeStreet Bank, a subsidiary of HomeStreet, Inc. (Nasdaq:HMST), announced today a new debit card feature, Card Controls, that gives customers total control over how, when and where their debit card is used. Designed to prevent fraud and make it easier to track spending, customers can now use the HomeStreet Bank mobile app to turn on and off their debit card and receive notifications anytime the card is used or if it exceeds spending limits, merchant types or geographic locations.

All HomeStreet Bank debit card owners can use the new Card Controls feature for free, which is one of many new and innovative digital features the bank has launched in the last few months.

“Protecting our customers from fraud is one of our top priorities, which is why we continue to roll out security features like Card Controls,” said Mark K. Mason, CEO and President of HomeStreet Bank. “Through Card Controls, customers have total control over their debit card right at their fingertips, giving them peace of mind that their banking information is secure. We’re committed to our customers, and we’re looking forward to rolling out more features that make their banking experience safer and more convenient.”

Recently, HomeStreet Bank released a collection of digital upgrades in an effort to improve customer experience. In addition to updating its website, HomeStreet rolled out Cardless Cash, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Android Pay. HomeStreet also plans to launch Zelle, a person-to-person payment network, in the coming months.
