Response to Inquiry relating to Press Reports

On March 12, 2018, in response to an official inquiry from the Korea Exchange on press reports regarding potential plans by KB Financial Group Inc. (“KB Financial Group”) to acquire ING Life Insurance Korea, Ltd. (“ING Life Korea”), KB Financial Group disclosed that, while it has been considering a variety of options as part of its strategy to strengthen the competitiveness of its subsidiaries engaged in the insurance business, its plans regarding a potential acquisition of ING Life Korea have not been finalized as of such date.

KB Financial Group expects to make further disclosures in the event any decisions are made regarding the above.
