Azul Reports January Traffic

S ã o Paulo, February 8, 2018 – Azul S.A., “ Azul ” , (B3: AZUL4, NYSE: AZUL), the largest airline in Brazil by number of destinations and departures, announces today its preliminary traffic results for January 2018.

Passenger traffic (RPKs) increased 14.0% compared to January 2017 on a capacity increase (ASKs) of 12.3%. As a result, load factor was 85.4%, 1.3 percentage points higher than in the same period last year.

As in 2017, we were again in January the number one on-time airline in Brazil, with an on-time arrival rate of 84.6% according to FlightStats.

Revenue Passenger Kilometers (RPK)

One-fare paying passenger transported one kilometer. RPK is calculated by multiplying the number of revenue passengers by the number of kilometers flown.

Number of aircraft seats multiplied by the number of kilometers flown.
