MORRISTOWN, N.J., Dec. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- To help
customers with their utility bills during the winter season, Jersey
Central Power & Light (JCP&L) and the Affordable Housing
Alliance are holding walk-in registration events for the Low-Income
Home Energy Assistance (LIHEAP) and Payment Assistance for Gas and
Electric (PAGE) programs.
The events are scheduled from 10:00 a.m.
to 2:00 p.m. at the following JCP&L office locations and
will allow customers to work directly with representatives from the
assistance organizations to easily submit the required
applications:
- Tuesday, December 19, at 1345
Englishtown Road in Old
Bridge
- Wednesday, December 20, at 300
Main Street, Allenhurst
- Thursday, December 21, at 25
Adafre Avenue, Toms River (PAGE
only).
Similar events also will be scheduled beginning in January.
To see if they qualify for the assistance programs, customers
should visit http://www.njpoweron.org. As part of the
qualification process, applicants will need to bring copies of
required documents, including driver's license, social security
card, pay stubs, proof of residence and recent utility bills when
they attend one of the meetings.
LIHEAP is designed to help low-income families and individuals
meet home heating and medically necessary cooling costs. For

program designed to help low-to moderate-income households who
experience economic hardship pay their electric and natural gas

EPP, customers can make consistent monthly payments to avoid
