Chef-Driven Upscale-Casual Restaurant Now Open in Oak Brook Featuring Dishes with Explosive Flavors from Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia

RockSugar Southeast Asian Kitchen®, soon to be greater Chicago’s freshest chef-driven restaurant, today announced the opening of its newest restaurant in Oak Brook, IL.

The upscale-casual destination serves Southeast Asian cuisine, showcasing dishes from Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. All dishes are crafted in-restaurant with fresh ingredients, offering explosive flavor developed from daily fresh hand ground spice blends frequently used in Southeast Asia.

RockSugar Southeast Asian Kitchen, which takes its name from an essential ingredient used by Asian chefs, is a concept drawn from Executive Chef Mohan Ismail’s memories of family meals his mother used to make. When developing his innovative menu, Chef Ismail brought together the exhilarating tastes of a half-dozen Southeast Asian nations through dishes that are not fusion, but rather capture the spirit and flavors of Southeast Asia.

The restaurant features a full-service bar and an extensive wine list as well as an onsite bakery with fresh-made desserts that infuse traditional French flair into nearly a dozen Asian-influenced items.

RockSugar Southeast Asian Kitchen is located adjacent to Oakbrook Center at 2022 Spring Road, Oak Brook, IL 60523. The restaurant opens today at 5:00p.m. Beginning tomorrow, it will open daily at 11:30a.m.
