The Walt Disney Co. said Wednesday it will raise its per-share semiannual dividend to 84 cents a share from 78 cents a share.

The dividend will be payable to shareholders as of Dec. 11.

The last dividend was paid in July.

The company also said its annual shareholders' meeting will be March 8, 2018, in Houston.
