Radware® (NASDAQ:RDWR), a leading provider of cyber security and application delivery solutions, has launched its Hackers Challenge event series, which is a global competition that pits penetration testers, bug bounty hunters, and other security professionals against the clock as they try to crack a series of security challenges. This live event gives the audience an opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes of a real attack.

The upcoming Radware Hacker’s Challenge event takes place in New York City on December 6, 2017, with future event locations include London and Madrid in 2018.

Adam Pasieka, Director of Global Enterprise Security Sales at Cisco said, “This should be a pretty cool event! We’ve worked with Radware on some of these events around the world and they have been very successful. People really enjoy the dynamic atmosphere. This is the first time we’re bringing it together in the U.S. and it gives us a great opportunity to show-off our 'better-together' strategy for stopping threats on the Network Edge.”

The Radware Hacker’s Challenge events simulate real world threats by giving participants a chance to hack both a website and a network during a live competition. During the event, participants will compete to infiltrate a system, deny services, collect or change information, escalate privileges, and perform tasks that only administrators are granted. The challengers will compete though several rounds, with alterations to permissions and security settings in each round.

“For anyone who wants to see what an attack looks like from the hacker’s perspective, we’ve created a safe and legal environment for them to throw everything they have at a system,” said Radware Chief Marketing Officer Anna Convery-Pelletier. “Our own security researchers will be on-hand to explain the competitors’ strategies and how attacks could be stopped.”

Radware designed its Hackers Challenge series to raise awareness of security challenges among IT security professionals, and to help the security community communicate and share information. In 2017, Radware has hosted its Hackers Challenge in Peru, Panama, Chile, Columbia, France, and Germany. Prizes vary based on event location.  For more information on Radware's Hackers Challenge, please visit https://www.hackers-challenge.com/en or register for the event here.
