Roku Expands Further Into Latin America

Introduces Streaming Players in Argentina, Central America, Chile, Colombia and Peru; Opens its TV Streaming Platform to Local Content Publishers

Roku, Inc. (Nasdaq: ROKU) today announced it is making its streaming platform available to consumers and content publishers in Argentina, Central America, Chile, Colombia and Peru. The company unveiled two players that will come to market in the coming weeks – the Roku Express+ which is great for HD streaming, and the Roku Streaming Stick+ capable of streaming HD, 4K and 4K HDR at up to 60 fps. Content publishers who want to use the internet to deliver video to consumers can develop streaming channels for the Roku Channel Store in Latin America.

Streaming Made Simple

Roku devices are powered by the company’s proprietary operating system, Roku OS and feature a simple home screen that can be personalized with icons to popular streaming channels. In Latin America, consumers can access to 2,500+ paid and free streaming channels, including 100,000 movies and TV episodes. Consumers can also download the free Roku mobile app for iOS® and Android™ devices to control their experience. It can act as a remote, stream media from the mobile device to the TV, and offers powerful features like private listening via a headphone jack so consumers don’t disturb others in the home.

Developing Streaming Channels for the Roku Platform
