Item 8.01 Other Events.

On October 3, 2017 , the Registrant issued a press release announcing an initial estimate of its expected losses from third quarter catastrophe events, including Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, as well as the two earthquakes in Mexico in September. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99 and incorporated by reference in this Item 8.01.
