Cerner Health Conference Welcomes Thousands of Health Care and Business Leaders to Kansas City Oct. 9-12
September 26 2017 - 4:05PM
Cerner, a global leader in health care technology, will host nearly
14,000 health care industry leaders, practitioners and Cerner
associates for its annual Cerner Health Conference (CHC), Oct.
9-12, in Kansas City, Missouri.
During the four-day event, attendees from around the globe will
network to share best practices and gain hands-on experience with
Cerner’s innovative health care solutions and services. The event
provides an opportunity for attendees to exchange ideas, learn from
industry experts and collaborate to improve health for
organizations, communities and people around the world.
"CHC is an opportunity to celebrate our clients’ successes and
to bring together the brightest minds in health care to advance our
vision for how technology can help solve the complex challenges
facing the industry now and into the future," said Cerner President
Zane Burke.
Conference events will be hosted throughout downtown Kansas
City, including the Kansas City Convention Center, the Sprint
Center, the Marriott Downtown and Muehlebach Hotel. Visit KC
estimates this year’s CHC will generate more than $19 million for
the Kansas City economy across lodging, dining, entertainment,
transportation and retail purchases.
The 2017 conference theme, “Tomorrow, Today,” is about
appreciating not only the work that is being done today to make
health care better, but also anticipating the future of the health
care system and creating innovative approaches to solve those
challenges now. Through more than 250 educational sessions,
featuring more than 700 speakers, CHC will focus on how
organizations can advance health and care to build a healthier
tomorrow.
"Cerner and our clients are navigating one of the most exciting
periods in the history of health care, thanks to rapid advances in
technology,” Burke said. "The ability to incorporate medical
breakthroughs and emerging knowledge at a clinician’s fingertips
through cognitive assistance and artificial intelligence are
leading to new models of care and changing patient outcomes. CHC is
about celebrating these types of advances that are shaping a new
era for health care around the world."
Education sessions will highlight innovations like these as well
as advances in connecting the continuum of care, interoperability
and open development, patient engagement, population health
management, revenue cycle management and virtual health and
care.
