Blue Buffalo Pet Products, Inc. (the “Company”) has become aware that after the market close on September 14, 2017 an official of the Company indicated to a research analyst that the “street estimates” for the Company’s Selling, General & Administrative (“SG&A”) expenses for the quarter ending September 30, 2017 (the “third quarter”) are below the Company’s expected SG&A expenses for the third quarter due to increased brand advertising as was announced on the Company’s most recent earnings call.
