Humana Foundation Donates $1,000,000 to Support Hurricane Irma Relief

Donation will help the American Red Cross
provide disaster relief services
The Humana Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Humana Inc.
(NYSE: HUM), announced today it will provide initial support
through a $1 million grant to the American Red Cross to help the
nonprofit organization deliver vital services, including health
services, to those affected by Hurricane Irma.
In addition, Humana Inc. announced that the company will match
storm relief donations by its employees.

the devastation brought by this powerful storm,” said Humana
President and CEO Bruce Broussard. “We are committed to providing
support and assistance for disaster relief and recovery efforts to
affected communities that more than one million Humana members,
more than 10,000 employees, and countless health care provider

Hurricane Irma, one of the most powerful storms ever recorded in
the Atlantic Ocean, has caused widespread damage across parts of
Florida and is projected to spread to other states as its makes its
way north. The American Red Cross is one of the organizations that
is mobilizing and preparing to mount a massive relief effort in
Florida and other affected communities.
