Item 5.02                                        Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

 

On August 29, 2017, Daniel T. Motulsky informed the Board of Directors of The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. (the “Company”) that he would resign from his position as a director of the Company.  Mr. Motulsky’s resignation will be effective on September 1, 2017 and was due to a policy of his employer that generally prohibits employees from serving as a member of the board of directors of a U.S. public company.  Mr. Motulsky’s resignation was not due to any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices.
