“We can’t say enough about Dawn’s leadership and dedication to the AHA cause. She masterfully and passionately led a committee of Philadelphia-based executives in a heartfelt effort to combat heart disease and stroke. The Go Red For Women Initiative has more momentum than ever before in this area as we forge ahead with helping women live healthier, stronger lives,” said Laura Hollot, Executive Director, American Heart Association, Greater Philadelphia.

Nutrisystem, Inc. has been a local sponsor of the Go Red for Women Campaign for the past three years and revealed it will continue its sponsorship in 2018.

“It was truly an all hands-on deck effort and I’m incredibly appreciative of the unprecedented response from so many people who generously contributed their time and funds to such an important cause,” commented Zier. “I’m especially thankful for the efforts of the Go Red For Women Executive Leadership Team, the American Heart Association staff and for the support we received from our Nutrisystem board of directors, employees and partners who donated so graciously to this campaign.”

“Our efforts culminated at the Go Red for Women luncheon this past May where more than 100 companies from across the region were in attendance,” added Zier. “Partnering with the AHA was a privilege and it’s my sincere hope we’ve made, and will continue to make, a meaningful difference in elevating awareness around heart disease and stroke, and the solutions available to decrease their risk factors.”

Go Red For Women is a part of the American Heart Association’s efforts to rid all Americans of heart disease and stroke. Go Red inspires women to take control of their heart health by further exploring their family history, their numbers and by listening and taking care of their bodies.
