Bank of New York Mellon Names Former Visa Executive Scharf CEO and Chairman

Bank of New York Mellon Corp. named former Visa and J.P. Morgan
Chase & Co. executive Charles Scharf as its chairman and CEO,
replacing Gerald Hassell.
Mr. Scharf, 52 years old, served as CEO of Visa until December.
Mr. Hassell, 65 years old, will remain chairman of BNY Mellon until
Dec. 31, when he will hand the title to Mr. Scharf.
