Robert Heggie was raised in British Columbia, Canada, where he studied psychology and English on a full scholarship at Simon Fraser University. He completed his studies at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, (BCIT) becoming a Certified Engineering Technician with an emphasis in civil & structural engineering. His early career evolved into property management with responsibility for over 2,000,000 square feet of government buildings for one of British Columbia's largest building companies.

Mr. Heggie is currently managing director of HK Retail Concepts, Inc., a retail consulting company located in Palm Desert, CA that focuses on third party programs to and with major retailers. He built HK into an internationally-recognized leader in this boutique market, with duties to include franchising, mediating, licensing, retail consulting, business and marketing plan creation, and branding.

The HK Company’s primary focus, however, is launching new concepts and products. HK’s current and previous clientele include Target, Wal-Mart, Hudson’s Bay Company, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus and Macy’s.

HK Concepts most recent success story is Sayuki Custom Cosmetics, a single location retail store. Within 24 months HK facilitated opening locations in Bloomingdales, Holt Renfrew and Neiman Marcus. Then in 2016 Sayuki was acquired by L’Oreal for $150 million dollars.
