Shares of Cardinal Health Inc. (NYSE:CAH) surged to a new all-time high of $155, capping a year of significant momentum for the healthcare services provider. With a market valuation now nearing $37 billion and trailing 12-month EBITDA of $3.2 billion, the company’s stock has climbed an impressive 61.18% over the past year, reflecting growing investor confidence and solid operational execution.

The rally comes on the heels of robust financial performance in the company’s latest quarterly results. For Q1 fiscal 2025, Cardinal Health reported earnings per share of $2.35, beating consensus expectations of $2.17. While revenue for the quarter came in slightly below projections at $54.9 billion, the company raised its full-year EPS guidance, signaling confidence in its outlook.

A key driver of Cardinal’s recent success has been its Pharmaceutical segment, which saw a 14% year-over-year increase in Adjusted Operating Income. Growth in high-margin offerings such as Biopharma services and Managed Services Organization solutions contributed meaningfully to the results.

To reward shareholders, the company announced a quarterly dividend increase to $0.5107 per share, reinforcing its commitment to returning value to investors. The company also provided a positive long-term outlook, forecasting double-digit earnings growth in fiscal year 2026, with the Pharmaceutical and Other segments expected to lead the charge.

Analysts have taken note of the company’s strong trajectory. Citi raised its price target to $157 while maintaining a “Neutral” stance, citing impressive gains in several business units, though noting challenges remain in the Global Medical Products Distribution division.

As Cardinal Health continues to execute on strategic priorities and expand its high-margin offerings, market watchers will be focused on whether the company can maintain its growth momentum and deliver on its ambitious projections.
