UK CPI climbed more than expected in August
In the UK, the CPI advanced 3.20% on a YoY basis in August, compared to a rise of 2.00% in the prior month. Markets were expecting the CPI to record a rise of 2.90%.
UK house price index advanced in July
In the UK, the house price index rose 8.00% on a YoY basis in July, compared to an advance of 13.20% in the previous month.
Euro-zone industrial production rose more than anticipated in July
In the Euro-zone, seasonally adjusted industrial production advanced 1.50% on a MoM basis in July, compared to a revised drop of 0.10% in the prior month. Markets were expecting industrial production to record a rise of 0.6%.
US industrial production rose less than expected in August
In the US, industrial production advanced 0.40% on a MoM basis in August, compared to a revised rise of 0.80% in the prior month. Markets were expecting industrial production to record an advance of 0.50%.
NY Empire State manufacturing index unexpectedly rose in September
In the US, the NY Empire State manufacturing index unexpectedly jumped to 34.30 in September, compared to a level of 18.30 in the prior month.
