Vinci Energies Wins Contract in Germany

Vinci SA said Tuesday that Vinci Energies won a contract to
renovate and operate the civic center of the German town of Velbert
in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The French construction-and-infrastructure company said the
first phase of the project includes transforming the Buergerforum
Niederberg's building into a modern and multipurpose venue. The
work has a total value of 44 million euros ($49.5 million). It will
begin in the fall of 2020 and is expected to be completed in the
first quarter of 2023.
After two years of work, Vinci said the partnership will
continue through an operating contract until 2048. The second phase
includes providing concierge services, upkeep, maintenance,
reinvestment and energy provision, and is worth a total of EUR32
million, it said.
