--European aircraft manufacturer Airbus SE (EADSY) said its A220 jet gained extended operations approval from regulators in Europe, the U.S. and Canada, Reuters reports Monday.

--The approval will allow the plane to fly on longer routes, the report said.

--Airbus took over development of the A220 from Canada's Bombardier last year, the report said.
