Williams Companies Inc. (WMB) earnings rose about 71% in the latest quarter.

The energy infrastructure company reported third-quarter earnings of $221 million, or 18 cents a share, compared with $129 million or 13 cents a share a year earlier.

Adjusted net income was 26 cents a share. Analysts polled by FactSet expected earnings per share of 25 cents.

Revenue was $2 billion, compared with $2.3 billion a year earlier. Analysts expected revenue of $2.04 billion.
