VEON Ltd. Names Terzioglu, Herrero Joint Chief Operating Officers

VEON Ltd. (VEON) Monday said it named Kaan Terzioglu and Sergi Herrero as joint chief operating officers.

The Amsterdam telecommunications company said Mr. Terzioglu, who will join on Nov. 1 as a member of the group executive committee, will focus on executing the transformation of its core connectivity business.

VEON said Mr. Herrero, who joined last month and is also a member of the group executive committee, will focus on developing new revenue streams.

VEON said Kjell Johnsen, who currently serves as chief operating officer, will step down Nov. 1 but continue as an adviser.

Mr. Terzioglu served as chief executive of Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri A.S. (TKC) from April 2015 until March 2019. Mr. Herrero was previously Facebook Inc.'s (FB) global director of payments and commerce partnerships.
