Shell PLC said on Monday that its subsidiary Sarawak Shell Berhad has taken a final investment decision to develop the Rosmari-Marjoram gas project together with the minor operator Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd in Sarawak, Malaysia.

The company said that Rosmari-Marjoram development consists of a subsea tie-back, a well head platform, a 207-kilometer pipeline to shore and an onshore gas plant at Bintulu.

The project comprises a remotely operated offshore platform and onshore gas plant, and it is designed to produce 800 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, it added.

Gas production is expected to start in 2026, the company added.

SBB has a 80% stake in the project, while Petronas has the remaining 20%.
