Mastercard today announced its partnership with Vogue for Forces
of Fashion, the title’s annual event bringing fashion’s most
innovative and prominent figures together. With this year’s
discussions centered on the theme “Forces for the Future” and
covering topics including sustainability, Mastercard is
complementing the dialogue by integrating its Mastercard Provenance
Solution into the on-site Vogue Shop to showcase the opportunity to
drive greater consumer transparency and awareness around the
products they're purchasing.
The summit will take place over two days—October 10th and
11th—and will be held at New York City’s Spring Studios. The event
includes experiential sessions, intimate conversations, and
impactful Q&As with designers, influencers, and industry
leaders. A luncheon for attendees will be hosted at PRICELESS, an
international culinary collective that brings global culinary
destinations to life in a multisensory environment. Attendees will
also have access to the Vogue Forces of Fashion Shop – Powered by
Mastercard.
“We applaud the team at Vogue for creating a platform that
addresses the most crucial topics impacting the future of the
fashion and retail industries and we are honored to support this
conversation,” said Cheryl Guerin, executive vice president of
North America Marketing & Communications at Mastercard. “Our
company has long stood by the notion of Doing Well by Doing Good
and that as a company we have a responsibility to the people and
communities in which we operate. This is why we’re driving forth
solutions like the Mastercard Provenance Solution that creates
transparency and insight to consumers across the products from food
to clothing and every day goods.”
Vogue Forces of Fashion Shop - Powered by Mastercard:
Mastercard and Vogue Forces of Fashion will partner together to
offer attendees access to limited edition Vogue items onsite at the
Summit, as part of the Vogue Forces of Fashion shop. Mastercard
Provenance Solution will give shoppers at the event the ability to
scan a QR code on select items in the on-site shop to trace each
step of the products’ journeys, from material sourcing to
production. Guests who use their Mastercard for purchases in the
shop will receive a special gift.
“We thank Mastercard for their support and partnership in
helping to create an evolved experience for all of the attendees,
clients and guests at Forces of Fashion,” said Susan Plagemann,
chief business officer, Condé Nast.
For fashion labels and sellers across industries, the Mastercard
Provenance Solution is an industry-agnostic capability that tracks
goods via block chain, helping brands provide visibility into
product journeys and a clear record of traceability designed to
contribute to consumer confidence, trust and awareness. Mastercard
Provenance Solution also provides governance capabilities to
complex supply chain networks, leveraging Mastercard’s proven track
record of establishing trust and rules in highly-regulated markets.
The Mastercard Provenance Solution extends across industries from
luxury fashion goods to food and more.
Attendees of the summit will be among the first to experience
the latest restaurant in residence at PRICELESS, Kjolle, from famed
culinary talent Pia León of Lima, Peru. At Kjolle, Chef León – who
was named 2018’s Best Female Chef in Latin America by World’s 50
Best Restaurants – reimagines the dining experience for her guests
through a modern blend of exceptional ingredients and elevated
flavors that are inspired by nature and the diverse regions of
Peru.
