Lockheed Martin Corp. (LMT) said Dale Bennett, executive vice president of the company's rotary and missions systems segment, will step down from his position Aug. 26.

He will remain as an adviser at the defense and aerospace company until the year ends, Lockheed said Monday.

Frank St. John, executive vice president of missiles and fire control at Lockheed, will succeed Mr. Bennett. Scott Greene, vice president of tactical and strike missiles, will replace Mr. St. John in his current role.

Mr. Bennett has been with Lockheed since 1981 and has served in a variety of roles, including president of global training and logistics, according to Lockheed's website. The rotary and missiles systems division employs more than 35,000 people globally.

Mr. Bennett is the latest Lockheed executive that has revealed plans to retire over the last year. The company said in December that executive vice president and finance chief Bruce Tanner would retire in mid-2019. Orlando Carvalho, executive vice president of Lockheed's aeronautics segment, retired from the company last year.
