Kroger Co. (KR) is recalling certain Private Selection frozen berry products made by Townsend Farms due to possible Hepatitis A contamination.
No customer illnesses have been reported.
The grocery chain is recalling 16-ounce and 48-ounce packages of Private Selection Frozen Triple Berry Medley and 16-ounce packages of Private Selection Frozen Blackberries.
Kroger said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration tested a sample that was found to be contaminated with Hepatitis A.
In May, the FDA said it was sampling frozen berries for hepatitis A virus. The agency said the sampling assignment started in November and was expected to last about 18 months.
