Kohls customers can ring in the new year with books from Americas
best loved master of rhyme, Dr. Seuss. Now through April, Kohls
stores nationwide will offer collectors edition books from Dr.
Seuss along with corresponding plush for just $5 each through its
Kohls Cares for Kids program. All net proceeds from purchases of
Horton Hatches the Egg, Yertle the Turtle and Other Stories,
Hop on Pop and Fox in Socks benefit children nationwide. Dr.
Seuss rhythmic words and fanciful illustrations offer an
entertaining way to amuse children and encourage an early love of
reading. Dr. Seuss stories are timeless favorites. For just $5,
books that were parents favorites growing up can now be enjoyed
with their own children, said Julie Gardner, executive vice
president and chief marketing officer of Kohls Department Stores.
By purchasing Kohls Cares for Kids books and plush, customers
will create treasured memories while working to improve childrens
health and education nationwide. Kohls donates 100 percent of
Kohls Cares for Kids net proceeds and sales; these Seuss books and
plush will add to the more than $85 million that has been raised
for childrens initiatives since the programs inception in 2000.
More than 60 limited time offer books have been featured at Kohls
as part of this charitable program. In addition to the merchandise
program, Kohls Cares for Kids features fundraising gift cards for
schools and youth-serving organizations; the Kohls Kids Who Care
Scholarship Program, which recognizes young volunteers; and the
A-Team Program which encourages associate volunteerism and provides
grants to youth-focused nonprofits. For more information visit
