Business Wire
KBR (NYSE:KBR) today announced two significant organizational
changes. John Rose has been promoted to President, Upstream and
Bruce Stanski has been promoted to President of KBRs Government
and Infrastructure (G & I) business segment. These changes are
the companys first steps towards better aligning KBRs operations
organization to current and mid-term market opportunities. This new
structure, which is expected to be completed over the next several
weeks, is designed to fully maximize the opportunities ahead of KBR
in the coming years. For the past several months, KBR has examined
the market opportunities in the hydrocarbon arena, our strategies
to maximize our participation in this space and our client
relationships, said William P. Utt, Chairman, President and CEO of
KBR. As a result, KBR has concluded that a more market focused
approach in the upstream arena will best benefit KBR. John brings a
wealth of experience and knowledge in this area, and so it is only
logical that he lead this very important segment of our business.
KBR will continue to focus heavily on upstream activities,
including off-shore and liquefied natural gas (LNG). Recently, KBR
has also demonstrated solid sales performance and project execution
in the downstream hydrocarbon market which has favorably positioned
the company in this segment as well. Relative to KBRs G & I
business, Stanskis promotion will also allow for a more focused
approached to the companys work in this area. Our proven track
record of serving both government and infrastructure customers both
domestically and internationally continues to be a notable asset
for KBR, Utt added. Bruces work thus far has afforded KBR marked
success and notable achievement in a host of government and private
sector projects. He, along with his team of dedicated employees,
has created a solid foundation for KBR to build upon in the years
ahead. KBR is a global engineering, construction and services
company supporting the energy, petrochemicals, government services
and civil infrastructure sectors. The company offers a wide range
of services through its Energy and Chemicals (E&C), Government
and Infrastructure (G&I), and Ventures business segments. For
