Exxon Launches Sale of Shale Gas Properties in Texas, Reuters Reports

--Exxon Mobil Corp. launched on Monday the sale process of shale
gas properties in Texas, Reuters reports.
--Reuters, citing an anonymous source, reports that the
producing properties are valued at $400 million to $500
million.
--Shale gas production there dropped by about half since 2016 to
around 227 million cubic feet a day (mcfd) in the first half of
this year, Reuters reports, citing a marketing document.
--Bids are due Dec. 21, Reuters reports, adding that Exxon aims
to close any sale in January.
--Exxon spokeswoman Sarah Nordin told Reuters that there has
been no agreement reached on a sale and no buyer was
identified.
