Con Edison Solutions is enrolling National Grid PLC (NGG) customers in Massachusetts into a new community solar program.

Con Edison Solutions said it will operate a 4.3MW solar installation on a site in Northampton, Mass., which will provide subscribers with power for their homes and businesses. Subscribers in the program will receive a monthly credit from National Grid for their share of electricity generated by the facility, which will lower the cost of their subscription.

"Community solar is an excellent solution for renters who want to take advantage of solar energy as well as for building owners and homeowners with roofs not suited for solar," Con Edison Solutions said.

Con Edison Solutions provides renewable energy, resiliency, and sustainability services. It is a subsidiary of Con Edison Clean Energy Businesses Inc., which is part of Consolidated Edison Inc. (ED).
