BP Appoints Former Aviva CEO Amanda Blanc as Director

BP PLC said Tuesday that it has appointed Amanda Blanc, the
former chief executive officer of insurance group Aviva PLC, as
nonexecutive director.
Ms. Blanc is co-chair of the Transition Plan Taskforce, a body
launched by the U.K. government to develop a gold standard for
financial and corporate climate-transition plans.
The multinational energy company said that Ms. Blanc will
enhance the board's ability to support the transformation of
BP.
The appointment will take effect from Sept. 1.
