Arcos Dorados Holdings Inc. (ARCO) on Thursday said it reached a five-year agreement with a unit of Walt Disney Co. (DIS) that will add Disney characters to McDonald's Happy Meals in Latin America.
The world's largest McDonald's Corp. (MCD) independent franchisee said the agreement includes toy collections and promotional activities based on movies from Disney's Walt Disney Animation, Pixar Animation, Disney Live Action, Marvel and Lucas Film studios.
Arcos Dorados said it will offer the first toy collection of the alliance next month to accompany the launch of "Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker."
Arcos Dorados, based in Montevideo, Uruguay, operates or franchises more than 2,200 McDonald's restaurants in Latin America and the Caribbean.
