Air Products & Chemicals Inc. (APD) said it would increase product pricing, monthly service charges, and surcharges for merchant customers in North America.

The maker of atmospheric gases said prices would increase up to 15% for liquid and bulk hydrogen, up to 20% for liquid argon, up to 10% for liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen and up to 10% for liquid carbon dioxide and monthly service charges.

Some price adjustments may be outside of these ranges based on specific situations, the company said. Helium prices also will be increased based on supply and demand and cost situations and may be customer specific, Air Products said.

The company said the price increases are in response to increases in sourcing, production and delivery costs.

Shares were up 0.5% to $221.53 in morning trading.
