ABB Gets Large China Transmission Contract

ABB Ltd. (ABBN.EB) said Thursday that it has received an order
from the State Grid Corporation of China to supply equipment for a
1,100-kilometer transmission link in the northwest and central
regions of the country.
The Swiss engineering group said it will supply converter
transformers and other high-voltage components for the 800 kilovolt
line.
The company didn't disclose financial terms of the contract.
