--Media mogul Shari Redstone is considering a plan to rebrand an existing Viacom channel into a conservative-learning news network, which would directly face off with Fox News, the Hollywood Reporter reported Tuesday.

--The conservative news network could fall under Viacom Inc.'s (VIA) streaming service Pluto TV, which was acquired in March, the report said.

--Ms. Redstone has been in talks with current and former Fox News TV personalities, including former Fox News star Megyn Kelly, according to the report.

Fox News parent Fox Corp. (FOX) and Dow Jones Newswires parent News Corp (NWS) share common ownership.
