Tandem Diabetes Care Inc. (TNDM) shares were up 10% to $62.14 in Tuesday morning trading.

Abbott Laboratories (ABT) and Tandem said Tuesday they would explore new integrated solutions for diabetes management.

The companies said they aim to integrate Abbott's FreeStyle Libre glucose sensing technology with Tandem's insulin delivery products.

Abbott shares were up 2% to $81.58.
