Strayer expands in Texas with eighth campus in the state

Today, Strayer University announced it is continuing to support working adults in Texas by opening its eighth campus in the state. The ribbon-cutting ceremony showcased the university’s programs that give working adults flexible, affordable and attainable higher education options.

The new campus will feature a new, leaner classroom model that provides students with collaborative spaces to meet with peers and faculty and access to student support resources. Spring classes start April 1.

“We’re honored to be joining the more than 60 other colleges and universities that call the Dallas and Fort Worth area home,” Dr. Michael Plater, President Emeritus of Strayer University, said. “Our career preparedness offerings – ranging from resume building workshops to interview prep sessions – will ensure our students in Fort Worth are ready to join the growing workforce in the greater metro area.”

“The Dallas and Fort Worth area is ‘one of the fastest-growing regions in the nation,’ and we’re excited that Strayer – with over 125 years of providing higher education for working adult students – will be able to provide the local community with more pathways to education and employment,” Plater said.

Strayer University offers associates, bachelors and master’s degree through its in-person and online programs at campuses across the U.S. Alumni graduate with degrees in business administration, criminal justice, education, information technology and public administration, among many others.

The school has more than 70 campuses nationwide and enrolls over 52,000 students. The Fort Worth campus will empower students – both inside and outside the classroom – with targeted skills training and Student Service Coaches.
