Sequoia Capital China and Starbucks Partner Up for Retail-Tech Investments

Starbucks Corp. and Sequoia Capital China have formed a
strategic partnership to make investments in China's technology
sector, the U.S. venture capital firm's China operation said on
Monday.
The two companies will collaborate on investments in
technologies in the retail and food-and-beverage industries,
Sequoia Capital China said in an official social media posting.
The partnership will allow Starbucks to accelerate its digital
innovations, and provide opportunities for Sequoia's portfolio
companies to scale up and commercialize their products and
services, the statement said.
The statement didn't disclose financial details of the
partnership.
