Insurance Company of America, a subsidiary of Selective Insurance
Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: SIGI), announces the following officer
appointments.
Fadi Elsaid to Senior
Vice President, IT Infrastructure and Operations. Mr. Elsaid
joined Selective in January
2019. Prior to that, he served as the Head of IT
Infrastructure and Security Operations for Qatar Petroleum. Mr.
Elsaid received both his Master in Business Administration and
Master of Technology Management from Stevens
Institute of Technology in New
Jersey, holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical
Engineering from City College of New
York and is a Project Management Professional.
William Becker to
Vice President, Brokerage Underwriting. Mr. Becker originally
joined Selective in 1981 as a Commercial Lines rater and has held a
variety of regional and corporate underwriting leadership
positions. Mr. Becker earned his associate's degree in Construction
Management from the Williamsport Area Community College and holds
designations as both a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and
a Certified Insurance Counselor.
Scott Smith to Vice
President, Director of Safety Management. Mr. Smith joined
Selective in January 2019. Prior to
that, he served as Vice President of Risk Engineering with North
American responsibilities for Chubb. Mr. Smith holds a bachelor's
degree in History from Shippensburg University
in Pennsylvania and has designations as both an Associate in
Risk Management and a Certified Risk Manager.
Hans Buvary to Assistant Vice President, Bond
Strategic Business Unit Underwriting. Mr. Buvary joined Selective
in 2014 as a Regional Bond Manager. Prior to that, he served as an
Assistant Regional Bond Manager for The Hartford. Mr. Buvary holds a bachelor's
degree in Business Administration, with a major in Finance, from
Loyola University's College of Business
Administration in Illinois.
Jeff Weaver to
Assistant Vice President, Management Liability. Mr. Weaver joined
Selective in 2011 as a Management Liability Product Manager. He
earned his bachelor's degree in Finance from Manhattan College in New
York.
