Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On June 26, 2019, Seagate Technology plc (the “Company”) announced that James F. Murphy, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing, will leave the Company effective December 31, 2019. Upon his termination, Mr. Murphy will be eligible for benefits under and pursuant to the terms of the Fifth Amended and Restated Seagate Technology Executive Severance and Change in Control Plan.
