In partnership with Local Government Online (LoGO) Indiana,
Marion Superior Court Probation Department this week launched a new
payment system for probationers to pay costs and fees online using
a credit or debit card. In Marion County, there are 9,750 adults
currently on probation. The online service can be found at
http://www.indy.gov/probation and accepts Visa, MasterCard,
American Express and Discover credit and debit cards.
Before the Online Probation and Fee Center was launched
individuals were required to make payments in person. The new
system allows individuals with monies owed to the Court to make
payments online or at Court offices.
“We are trying to make it easier for probationers to pay their
fines and fees and believe that offering an alternative to coming
to the City County Building or satellite offices will not only help
probationers save time, but help make our department run more
efficiently,” said Chief Probation Officer Robert Bingham.
