Mondelez International Inc. said Wednesday that it aims to have cut emissions 10% from 2018 levels across its entire footprint by 2025, and that it is on track to cut 15% of its emissions from manufacturing by the end of the year.

The Deerfield, Illinois-based snack maker said its 2025 targets focus on using less energy, water and waste to address climate change.

In December, Mondelez Chief Executive Dirk Van de Put reaffirmed the company's committment to the Paris Agreement on climate change.

"Our sustainable snacking strategy puts us at the forefront of sustainable ingredient sourcing and continues our contribution to addressing climate change by reducing emissions," Mr. Van de Put said in prepared remarks.
