Item 8.01.

Other Events.

On June 10, 2021, InterDigital, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that, as a result of a strategic review of its research and innovation priorities, it commenced the process of a collective economic layoff in which it proposed a reduction in force of 67 employees in its research and innovation unit, 60 of whom are based in France. The Company has launched an information-consultation process with respect to the contemplated reorganization with the works council of certain of its French subsidiaries, as required by French law. The Company anticipates the reduction in force being finalized in third quarter 2021.

The Company intends to release updated expense guidance, reflecting the potential impact of the events above, no later than June 17, 2021.
