LAS VEGAS, Nov. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Gaming Partners
International Corporation (Nasdaq: GPIC) a leading provider of
casino currency and table game equipment worldwide, announced today
that it will present the latest developments in security and RFID
casino products at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 16 – 19.
GPI believes that the best security utilizes a combination of
security options at different levels, from simple handling
characteristics to visible and non-visible technology that is
integrated into the product. At G2E, GPI will be showcasing
the latest advancements in security technology for its
casino currency products. With the broadest range of design
styles and sizes in its currency products lines, along with the
widest range of security technologies, GPI offers an unlimited
number of feature combinations that casinos can choose to secure
their casino currency.
GPI's continual innovation in the field of RFID
technologies helps blaze the trail for casino enterprises to
operate with greater efficiency, greater security, enhanced
precision, and expanded possibilities.
To augment its existing line of RFID products, GPI recently
acquired the ability to develop, manufacture and distribute
additional high-frequency RFID products and systems worldwide.
This enables GPI to combine RFID applications for both 125
KHz (low) and 13.56 MHz (high) frequencies to add improved
functionality, security and communications with a range of casino
management systems.
GPI's new Chip Inventory System (CIS) utilizes RFID
technology to track the location and status of all RFID chips
throughout the casino from the cage to the gaming floor. The
CIS enables real-time monitoring of inventory and instant
validation of chip amounts and serial numbers, which streamlines
chip management processes and increases accuracy of cash outs.
CIS can be implemented as a standalone system or can
interface with existing table and cage applications.
Brand-new products further enhance GPI's RFID product suite. New
RFID chip trays, available in single- and dual-tray options,
provide real-time counting of chips and movement with detailed
tracking of chip tray activities (everything from 'lid-up' to
'locked' and more) and a design that fits seamlessly within any
standard gaming table. As rugged as it is advanced, this chip tray
technology comes equipped with up to five security sensors for
enhanced monitoring and is available in a variety of sizes (10, 12,
14 and 15 tubes).
Innovation goes mobile with GPI's new portable chip
reader. Convenient to transport and deploy, the durable
portable reader can authenticate batches of up to 400 chips
instantly. This cost-effective device puts the power of security
and tracking right in operators' hands -- and gives them the
flexibility to take it anywhere on property for immediate
insight.
Along with its popular core products, such as gaming tables,
casino currency, precision dice, playing cards, table layouts and
accessories, GPI will also display the latest in:
- RFIDPoker which was developed to improve
accuracy and increase the speed of various actions on the poker
table
- Progressive Poker which links poker tables throughout
the casino and offers incrementing progressive jackpots that can be
won on any RFIDPoker table.
- eReady™ Tables which are designed and build especially
to accommodate the electronic equipment on gaming tables
- Roulette and Baccarat reader displays which are
customizable and display all relevant statistics of the game in
real-time
- Themed casino products that help extend casino marketing
efforts all the way to the gaming table utilizing customized chips,
table layouts and dice.
"This is an exciting time for GPI as we expand both our presence
and our suite of products throughout the world," commented
Greg Gronau, President and CEO of
GPI. "As always, our R&D team has been focused on
bringing innovative new products to market and we look forward to
showcasing the newest developments in RFID and chip security at
G2E."
