North Kansas City Hospital deployed Cerner Corporation's (Nasdaq:CERN) P2Sentinel™ HIPAA-compliant auditing solution in 11 days, meeting the Meaningful Use Stage 1 access requirement. The P2Sentinel console provides a secure, analytical and reporting interface that can be used in conjunction with and independent of the Cerner Millennium® platform. It utilizes SenSage's enterprise Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technology, with healthcare specific reports and analytics developed by Cerner, to track how patient information is accessed. These auditing reports are a necessary part of an accountability system which provides measurable data for policy compliance while also identifying potential security threats.
